Moriah Morgan
Moriah Morgan was awarded travel funds to provide self defense education in Antigua Guatemala. Morgan provided two sessions including one to nonprofit La Casa.
Morgan has been practicing since 2011, studding under Grand Master Yong Chin Pak, Grand Master Son, and Master Matt Hamann.
She has held a number of leadership positions in the martial arts community and most recently serves as the president of SIBBA.

In Guatemala, violence is not uncommon and almost everyone knows a friend or family member that has been mugged. Locally, there are no gyms that provide self defense education and education specific for women is nonexistent. Participants in the class reported never having realized that they were allowed to protect themselves and went away with more confidence in their own ability to protect themselves.

Emiliano Saucedo Goldschmied
Emiliano Goldschmied was awarded funds to go towards a plane ticket for training in Valencia and the following competitions in the European Cup and Pan-American Cup.

Goldschmied is a freshman at Iowa State as a open option undecided major. He was born in Mexico and grew up there until 8 years old when he moved to Dallas, Texas.
Goldschmied had been fighting for Mexico and represented them in various international competitions such as u21 world championships and u18 world abs Pan-American championships. 2 years ago he switched to represent the United States now as a citizen, has been representing them on the international senior level of judo. Goldschmied is committed to reach his ultimate goal of competing in the Olympic Games (Paris or LA) and hopes to continue representing the United States.
