SIBBA Jared Ringstad Memorial Scholarship
The Jared Ringstad Scholarship honors Jared Ringstad, a red belt Taekwondo student at Emery Martial Arts who passed away tragically at a young age. It recognizes leadership among young students who have not yet achieved the rank of black belt.
One $500 scholarship is available from the State of Iowa Black Belt Association. The deadline for receipt of application has been extended to June 1, 2024. Scholarships will be awarded after the close date.
Eligibility
The applicant must:
1. Be a High School Senior, going on to post-secondary education
2. Be a practicing martial arts student with approximately 1 year of active practice time
3. Be a current SIBBA member
4. Be willing to continue with their art at the post-secondary level or continuing with their present instructor after graduation
